As part of moves to ensure the success of the newly promoted Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna in the Nigerian Professional Football League, the club management has reshuffled the coaching crew.
The Media Officer of the club, George Daniya, on Monday said this while speaking with newsmen in Minna.
Daniya said the changes in the coaching crew had become necessary so as to bring new ideas to the club.
He added that all decisions taken were in the best interest of the club as the management carefully followed proper procedure to arrive at a decision.
He explained that the management met last week and ratified the technical report submitted to it by the club’s coaching crew over the weekend.
Under the new arrangement, Coach Abdullahi Biffo retains his post as the technical adviser, while Coach Bala Mohammed has been promoted from the post of assistant coach to chief coach.
Former chief coach, Abdulazeez Hamza, and goalkeeper trainer, Abubakar Ndanusa, are now undergoing courses and have been permitted to do so by the club.
Among those retained in the coaching crew are Ibrahim Alala as assistant coach; Majin Mohammed has been retained as chief coach, Tornadoes Feeders; Babayo Ahmed has been promoted to assistant coach I from the post of assistant coach II and Mohammed Atiku, Niger United Coach, has been appointed as assistant coach II for Tornadoes Feeders.
Coach Maikudi Ayawa, assistant coach with feeder team, and Coach Dauda Bala, assistant coach with main Tornadoes side, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Sports.
New entrants into the club technical crew are Bernard Christopher (Black Stars FC, Minna) as trainer with Tornadoes main side and Coach Bello Mohammed, Tornadoes Feeders goalkeeper trainer, has been promoted to the main side as goalkeeper trainer II .
