Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu, insists the side will cope with the absence of first choice goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, in Tuesday'scrucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers goalie is ruled out of the game billed for the Borg El- Arab Stadium in Alexandria due to ill- health.
Agu, a member of the Super Eagles squad that won the AFCON title in Tunisia in 1994, informed Completesportsnigeria.com that the duo of South Africa-based shot-stopper Daniel AKpeyi and Sunshine Stars' Ikechukwu Ezenwa are good enough to take the place of Ikeme in the game.
"We are disappointed that Ikeme will not be part of the game in Alexandria," Agu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"He is a top class goalkeeper and a very reliable one too.
"But in Daniel and Ezenwa we have two quality goalkeepers who are good enough to step in against Egypt.
"We believe in them and there is no need to panic."
