Super Eagles striker Chisom Chikatara has expressed satisfaction at his invitation for Nigeria's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations two-legged qualifiers against Egypt this month, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Chikatara was impressive at the 2016 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) where he scored four goals and has signed for Morrocan side, Wydad Casablanca on a three-year contract on the back of his performances in Rwanda.
The former Abia Warriors forward has reported to the Super Eagles camp at the Bolton White Apartment in Abuja. He told Completesportsnigeria.com that he will be contended with wins against Egypt at the expense of him playing in both ties.
"The important thing is that we (Super Eagles) qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, it doesn't matter who plays against Egypt or not.
"Of course, I know it will not be easy to get a starting place because of the quality of strikers in the team, but God knows the best.
"If am not going to play and Nigeria will qualify, I'll be happy. And if I will be played, then I will show my quality again. I will also be happy," Chikatara told Completesportsnigeria.com.
The home-based Eagles have begun camping ahead of the first leg of the fixtures scheduled for March 25th at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna. The overseas-based players are expected to arrive camp few days to the game.
