Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, is disappointed he will not be part of Tuesday's crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against Egypt, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The Wolves goalkeeper has been ruled out of the game billed for the Borg El- Arab Stadium, Alexandria due to ill-health.
Ikeme took to Twitter to express his disappointment on missing out of the crucial game.
"Thanks for the messages and gutted to miss the Egypt game. I was unwell early Friday morning and have been unable to eat since Thursday night," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
"Thanks to the doctor and the coaches for their care over the last few days. I will be going home to recover and support the team on Tuesday."
Chippa United's goalie, Daniel Akpeyi, is expected to take his place in the starting eleven against the North Africans.
Samson Siasia's men were held to a 1-1 draw by the Pharaohs in the first leg at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday.
They need a win to boost their chances of making it to Gabon 2017.
