Super Eagles players failed to train at the Borg El- Arab Stadium, venue of Tuesday's make-or-mar 2017 Africa Cup qualifying match against the Pharaohs of Egypt following their late arrival in Alexandria on Monday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The team was due to have a feel of the turf ahead of the game but the training was called off as a result of their late arrival due to the two hours delay they experienced at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Abuja.
Instead, Completesportsnigeria.com learnt the players will have a light training session within their hotel premises on Tuesday morning.
"We couldn't train on Tuesday as planned due to our late arrival in Alexandria,"one of the players informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Our flight was delayed for two hours in Abuja and that affected the entire plan.
"You can imagine us going to training again after close to six-hour flight from Nigeria."
