EXCLUSIVE By Adeboye Amosu:
Uganda coach, Sredojevic 'Micho' Milutin, has told Completesportsnigeria.com that it will be a great honour to handle the Super Eagles, but he remains committed to his current job.
Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation were said to have opened talks with the Serbian on the possibility of him managing the three-time championss of Africa following the resignation of Sunday Oliseh last week.
But the former Rwanda coach revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com that handling the Super Eagles will be a big step for him but at the moment he is focused on leading the Cranes to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
He also failed to confirm the report that he has been approached by the NFF.
"I'm still under contract with the Uganda Football Federation and it will be unfair for me to say anything about managing the Super Eagles," Micho as he is affectionately called told Completesportsnigeria.com from Kampala.
"Having said that, the Nigeria national team is one of the most popular in Africa and coaching the team is definitely the dream of most coaches in the world.
"I have a lot of respect for the Super Eagles and Nigeria as a nation.
"I also have a lot of friends in Nigeria, but at the moment I'm with Uganda and it's important for me to respect my contract."
Samson Siasia has been appointed as caretaker boss of the Super Eagles and he will lead the Super Eagles in the 2017 AFCON double header against the Pharoahs of Egypt next month.
