Victor Velmo – Aka Nelu | The Sprout EP (DOWNLOAD)
Buzzing artist, Victor Velmo, who has been recording for some time but 24 months on a professional level is out with his first body of work, THE SPROUT.
Velmo’s music is slightly different from the regular, he describes his sound as Urban/Indigenous Hip hop, fused with R&B and Afro which is evident in his works. The Sprout an 8 Track body of work, which was recorded over the last 10 months holds water as Victor Velmo tells stories of origin, growth, nightlife and aspiration’s Using English, Pidgin and his mother tongue Igbo laced over new skool sound which is quite distinct.
The EP has support from the likes of Jaywon, on Turn on the light which has a video, Ambassador Wahala and Olamide (who’s vocals was lifted off a previously released K9 song) Producers on the EP include close pal Brace, Juwhiz, XPee, Smyles and engineered by Fredy beat.
Aka Nelu seems to be getting more radio spins and favorite for DJ’s. Veli Velly as he is fondly called by those in his circle, is inspired by the likes of Jay Z, Drake, Sarkodie, M.I, Phyno and Olamide.
