A cooking oil brand, Power Oil, recently urged Nigerians to regularly engage in physical exercises to ensure healthy lifestyle.
The brand noted that over 60 per cent of Nigerians was at risk of heart related diseases which is the leading cause of deaths worldwide.
The Brand Manager, Disha Argawal, who spoke during the Power-Oil-Walk-Heart-On event in Lagos, said, “As a brand, Power Oil’s total focus and commitment is the well-being of consumers. The Power-Oil-Walk-heart-on is a reflection of our commitment to our consumers. With the rate of increasing health complications in the society, we see it as our responsibility to sensitise and educate Nigerians on the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercises as well as eating healthy.
“Our decision to introduce a heart and health friendly product in Power Oil a few years ago, was borne out of our observation that substandard and adulterated oil have for long remained an item, regularly consumed by many who are mostly unaware of the numerous side effects, such as: obesity, hypertension (the most common lifestyle ailment), heart disease and cancer to mention few; while the cholesterol found in the oil could increase the risk of stroke and blocked arteries. Power Oil contains zero trans-fat and cholesterol which makes it very healthy for consumption.”
