Members of the Ondo Elites Group in Ondo state have expressed their appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for nominating Prof. Omoleye Daramola as the ministerial candidate from the state.
The National President of the group, Dr. Bamidele Ogunleye, described the President’s choice as commendable, saying the nomination was a reflection of the general choice of the people of the state.
He commended the nominee’s contribution to the development of Ode-Aye in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state, saying he remained a great asset to the nation.
In a statement by its publicity secretary, Mr. Tunde Ajibade, the group described the nominee as an erudite scholar who had contributed immensely to educational development in the country, noting that in spite of his tight schedule, he had not lost touch with his people at the grass roots.
The statement read, “We appeal to the members of the Senate to clear Daramola as his nomination has again proved beyond reasonable doubt the avowed determination of President Buhari to bring on board men and women of integrity to join him in effecting the required change in our country.”
