Woman Who Was Attacked By Thugs At APC Rally Shares Her Story

Mrs Modinat Adeoke who was attacked and
battered by some political thugs at a rally
organized by All Progressive Congress (APC) in
Obokun/Oriade federal constituency of Osun state
has shared her story.
Speaking with Daily Trust, Mrs Modinat said she
was at the venue of the APC rally at Ilase-Ijesa in
Obokun Local government area when the thugs
struck and caused chaos.
“We all ran helter-skelter when the rally was
disrupted, and I was hearing gunshots repeatedly.
I ran towards our village, Ibisomi. On my way,
some of the thugs ambushed me and beat me.
They also stabbed me on my head. It was a very
terrible experience”.

One of the APC chieftains in the Obokun/Oriade
federal constituency of Osun state, Mrs Dupe-Ajayi
Gbadebo who addressed a press conference over
the matter, revealed to journalists that a member of
the party, Agunbiade Bukola, was shot during the
attack and is presently receiving treatments at the
Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.
Dupe-Ajayi claimed that the attackers carried out
the attack on the order of the candidate of the
People’s Democratic Party for Osun East Senatorial
seat, Prince Francis Fadahunsi.
She added that APC members were able to identify
the attackers and gave the names of Oguntade
Blessing, Semiu Lamidi, Abiodun Fayawo and one
Kazeem as the perpetrators.
