Nigeria's Shortest Ever Wedding,60 Seconds
Now don’t think the wedding didn’t hold. It did and they
spent about sixty seconds in exchanging vows with a
total of eight guests in attendance. The event held at a
beach in Lagos on a Sunday afternoon some weekends
ago where the couple got married without the hype
associated with weddings in this part of the World.
As tokens of their love, the couple exchanged totems
instead of rings. The bride was gifted with a Gold
necklace and in turn gave the groom a pair of socks he
originally disliked but would now own as a symbol of his
wife’s love.
Their after party entailed a quiet evening at the beach.

And her token for him was a pair of socks (he
disliked them prior to the wedding and he didn’t
have any on as the officiant helped her put them on
him) A Unique Nigerian Wedding! Two crazy people
fell in love, decided to get married without the usual
pomp and pageantry associated wit weddings in
Nigeria. The event held at a beach in Lagos on a
warm Sunday afternoon and there were only 8
people in attendance myself (the photographer)
included. They exchanged their vows (very apt ones
if you ask me) and also exchanged totems (not
wedding rings). The event was over in minutes and
they were ‘husband and wife’… happily married yet
their purses didn’t bleed much in the process.
