Monarch advises Buhari on appointment

The Olu of Imasayi, Oba Gbadebo Oni, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to sideline any section of the country in his appointments, if he wants to succeed.

The monarch spoke on the sidelines of his 25th coronation anniversary held in the ancient town.

He said, “I want to advise President Muhammadu Buhari not to lean towards any side of the country in major decisions he is taking in terms of his policies and appointments.

“He should carry every part of the country along because Nigeria is a sensitive country with many tribes and languages. He must not sideline any section of the country.”

Talking about the development he had attracted to the town, Oba Oni said various companies had located their factories in the community.

The monarch called on other sons and daughters of Imasayi abroad to join hands with him so as to fast-track the development of the town.

The chairperson, Imasayi Development Union, Mrs. Iyabode Ogunpola, said the union had taken the lead in initiating developmental projects and had opened a hall of fame in the palace where family and individual names of those who contributed to the development of the town would be written.
