UKEAS plans seminar for Lagos, Ghana

The management of the United Kingdom Education Advisory Service     says it is planning an education fair to expose Nigerian students who are seeking overseas university education.

The UKEAS Regional Manager, Africa, Bukky Awofisayo, made this known in a statement on Monday.

According to Awofisayo, the fair is to provide more opportunities for students seeking to study in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and Turkey.

The fair, Awofiasyo said, would attract no fewer than 30 representatives from overseas universities and colleges.

The statement added, “We have received many requests from students, parents and professionals who want to explore other study destinations alongside the UK and we felt it was our duty to make these options available to our clients.

“We are therefore excited to be bringing representatives from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Turkey this October to meet with people who want to expand their career horizon by acquiring a globally recognised qualification.”

Awofiasyo, who said the fair would be free, noted that a notable speaker, Muyiwa Afolabi, would speak on ‘From Lecture Hall to Boardroom: Developing a Career in Africa’ on the occasion.’

The event, the educationist added, would enable students and their parents to have first-hand information on how to live and study abroad.

Awofisayo, who said the fair would hold in Abuja and Lagos on October 8 and 10 respectively, added that a similar event would hold in Ghana on October 6.
