Uganda FA Boss: We Won’t Release Micho To Nigeria

Uganda Football Federation President, Moses Magogo has informed Completesportsnigeria.com that they will seek to hold on to Cranes head coach, Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic amidst Nigeria FA's reported interest in the Serbian gaffer.

The former Rwanda coach is rumoured to be courted by the Nigeria Football Federation for a possibility of becoming the successor to Sunday Oliseh who left his post as head of the Super Eagles last week.

Magogo told Completesportsnigeria.com exclusively on phone from Kampala on Tuesday, that they were confident Micho will honour his contract with Uganda FA..

"Micho contract with us will end in two years time, and we trust him to honour the agreement," Magogo disclosed to Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We know Nigeria is a big footballing nation, but we will fight to keep our coach.

"Our team has done well under his tutelage and we expect that to continue.

"The talks about him going to Nigeria can continue, but we will surely not allow him go."

Micho, 46, was appointed head coach of the Cranes in May 2013, a month after he was sacked by Rwanda.

He won three league titles with Ugandan side, SC Villa in the past and also won the Ethiopia league title with St George.

Micho also led South African giants Orlando Pirates to the semi-final of the African Champions League in 2006.

He repeated the same feat with Sudan's Al Hilal, leading the club to the last four of both the CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League in 2010 and 2011 respectively..
